Heli Skiing

Whistler Heli Skiing Packages

All packages include: professional heli-ski guide with each group, use of avalanche transceiver and powder ski tracers, on-mountain lunch and return ground transportation to the helicopter landing area from Whistler Village.

 

Classic Experience: Bell 212 Helicopter groups of 7-10 people:

3 runs (approx. 4,500 – 7,500 vertical feet, or 1,400 -2,300 vertical meters of skiing).

Designed for intermediate to advanced skiers or boarders.

Photo and video service provided for 1 run. View and purchase at apres party.

check in is at 8:45AM, runs till approx 2:30 to 4PM

 


Elite Adventure: Bell 212 Helicopter groups of 7-10 people:

4 runs (approx. 6,000 – 10,000 vertical feet, or 1,800 – 3,500 vertical meters of skiing).

Designed for expert skiers or boarders.

Photo and video service provided for 1 run. View and purchase at apres party.


Ultimate Excursion (5 Person): Bell 407 Helicopter:

6 runs (approx. 9,000 – 15,000 vertical feet. or 2,700 – 4,600 vertical meters of skiing).

Designed for experts who wish to move quickly and are considering doing extra runs, or groups of five of similar abilities #-who are looking for a more private experience.

Extra vertical is available for Cdn.$90.00 plus 7% GST per person, per run.

Private photographer available on request for groups of four, $1290.00 plus 7% GST, photographer occupies 1 of the 5 seats.

 


Powder Fantasy(Lodge Based): Bell 407 Helicopter seats groups of 5 people:

3 Day/2 Night retreat to the remote Callaghan Country Lodge including meals, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

3 Days of heli-skiing for 6 runs per day.

Starting at $3350.00CDN plus 7% GST per person.

Includes ground transportation from Whistler Village to the heliport and Rental Skis.

Extra vertical is available for an additional $90.00 plus 7% GST per person, per run.

 

Heli Skiing Levels

Low Intermediate:

Blue runs: I can do parallel turns down “blue runs”, although I approach the steeper pitches with some reservation.
Blacks: I have never attempted to ski/board them.
Double Blacks: I have never been down one.
Off Piste/Powder: I do not have experience.
(Not suitable for deep powder days. Conditions permitting only.)

 

Intermediate:

Blue runs: I can ski/board them with little trouble doing parallel turns down the fall line.
Blacks: I will occasionally ski/board them.
Double Blacks: I can get down sometimes but not with a lot of style.
Off Piste/Powder: I have some experience with different snow conditions and powder.

 

Strong Intermediate:

Blue runs: I can routinely ski/board them.
Blacks: I do enjoy the challenge of black runs, when conditions are right.
Double Blacks: I will occasionally ski a double-black when conditions are right.
Off Piste/Powder: I have tried the bowls on a powder day with reasonable success.

 

Advanced:

Blue runs: I have been skiing/boarding for years and get a lot of days in per season. Blues are easy.
Blacks: I will routinely ski/board them.
Double Blacks: I will often ski/board them.
Off Piste/Powder: I do enjoy powder and seek it out whenever possible.

 

Expert:

Blue runs: I have no problem on any blue run.
Blacks: I have no problem with any black runs.
Double Blacks: I have no problem with any double-black runs.
Off Piste/Powder: I have a lot of powder experience and like to ski it quickly, rarely falling.
