Whistler Après

Footsteps from the hill, mountain views and ample patio space are characteristics of Whistler's favourite après spots. Typically, there's live music and plenty of people when the lifts close. Yet après spots in Whistler are unique. Whether it's location, music, food, or atmosphere that's important, there's an après spot in Whistler to fit any skier or snowboarder's fancy.

Nightlife

After après you may think you're going home to eat and change, maybe grab a quick shower and then spend a night on the town. Thing is, you're tired from a day on the slopes and once you lie down on that sofa, you're done for. Don't go near the sofa! The Whistler nightlife is worth it.

When Dancing is Your Thing

Looking for a well-known dance scene? Head to Garfinkel's where you will recognize everything they play. Attracts a sports bar/hipster/over-20 following with a mixed bag of indie rock hits, funky classics and dance tracks. A huge Thursday night institution.
Moe Joe's is a smaller, more intimate form of Garf's - similar clientele and music mix, but the atmosphere is uniquely their own.

Buffalo Bill's attracts an older crowd and also spices up the scene with regular comedy nights and hypnotists. Wednesday is local’s night.

The Savage Beagle is split-level, allowing you to sit upstairs, smoke a cigar while the dancey-faced people can go to it downstairs.

Tommy Africa's on a Monday night surfs the retro wave, and the fun bunch are often spotted on the speakers.Young to 21
Tommy Africa's and Maxx Fish where things really get going around 11 pm.

The Dubh Linn Gate has live traditional and modern Irish music every après and every night of the week - no cover charge.

Pub Atmosphere

Black's Pub has scotch and beer from the four corners of the world. The Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub has Whistler's largest draught beer and whiskey selection, along with live music every apres and every night. The Crystal Lounge, Brandy's, Monk's and the Cinnamon Bear Bar swaddle you in comfort, while local lone guitarists play your requests. Le Brasserie is a cozy pub environment in the Village square. A prime people-watching location.

Beyond Apres

Merlin's at the base of Blackcomb is a popular hang out for local mountain staff. Dusty’s is its cross-town cousin at the base of Whistler in Creekside. They also throw on a band every now and then. Depending on the time of year the GLC and the Longhorn are hip and happening.

Mellow

The sophisticated set will want to slink into a wine or cigar bar. A mild and pleasant place is the Mallard Bar in the Chateau Whistler. At the Bear Foot Bistro you will also find a champagne/oyster bar.

If you just want a low-key drink go to Tapley's. For a local, super-smooth comfortable, lean-on-the-bar-for-a-few type evening, pull up a stool at Citta's Bar. Located in central Village Square, Citta's is a fantastic location to catch the action.
